Over the last fifteen years, Scott Johnson Photography has traveled the world capturing diverse architectural and interior design styles and details for our clients in the interior design and destination club industries. The luxury homes that our interior design photographer exhibits in his portfolio have an average value of $6 million each, and range in styles and sizes from modern urban two bedroom apartments, to stone and timber slope side ski chalets and seven bedroom Italian Tuscan villa. The architectural photography our architectural photographer pursues does not follow rote or formula. Rather, we work closely with the architects, interior designers, and marketing professionals to ensure that the images we produce are sensitive to the nuances and architectural styles of the individual property.
Over this time, we have gained unparalleled experience in the field of hotel and resort photography, capturing over 500 hotels, resorts, spas, golf courses, and lodges, with a collective value in excess of $20 billion.
Our hotel and resort photography has been used for advertising, both in print and for the internet, for commercial real estate investment, and for internal corporate presentations and annual reports. Our hospitality photography work has been featured in such publications as The Robb Report, Cigar Aficionado, Atlanta magazine, Space LA, Sky magazine, and even USA Today. We develop and strive to maintain close relationships with all of our clients, which include commercial real estate developers such as Cushman and Wakefield; hotel brokerage firms such as Hodges Ward Elliott and Jones Lang Lasalle; hotel and resort groups such as Pyramid Advisors, Highgate Holdings, JHM Hotels and ClubQuarters; Destination Clubs such as Quintess, LLC; hospitality consulting and hospitality marketing firms such as InnPerspectives and Wentworth Zimmerman; and the national park concessionaire Xanterra. In the end, we see Scott Johnson Photography, Inc. as more than a service provider to our clients. We consider ourselves an integral part of our client’s marketing team.

A Holistic Approach to Interior Design Photography
Scott Johnson Photography, Inc. takes a unique approach to architectural photography, which considers all of the elements of a hotel property or luxury home. A compelling architectural photograph is more than the sum of its parts, and each element deserves careful scrutiny in crafting the image. The architect takes care in designing a building to properly interact with and reflect its surroundings. So the architectural photographer must take great care to ensure that the image pays proper homage to the building’s environment. With all of our assignments, we understand that the subject, whether it is a hotel, resort, spa, golf course, or luxury home, is a product and reflection of its surroundings. In resort photography, this is an obvious consideration, as the context of a hotel or resort is a major selling point, which deserves emphasis. This consideration may be less obvious but no less important in pure interior design photography. The interior designer takes a holistic view of the placement of furnishings, selection of colors and accessories to design an interior space to properly reflect the architectural design and its environment. Likewise, in all of our architectural photography assignments, we pay close attention to and seek to capture the context of the property or space wherever possible. We work closely with all of our clients throughout the entire interior design or architectural photoshoot, to make sure that their expectations are met and exceeded.
Our extensive portfolio of interior design photography includes luxury homes in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Aspen, Colorado; Los Cabos, Mexico; Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic; Kona, Hawaii; New York; Paris, France; and Florence, Italy. We have also photographed numerous national park and state park lodges, including those located in Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks.
